7 Top Tips For Great Web Site Design

Here are 7 top tips for great web site design. Use them to inspire you to an even better website site.

1) Keep your website design consistent. Make sure that your design is consistent across your entire site. Don't be tempted to change some pages and not others. Ensure that your visitor knows they are still one the same website site.

2) Navigation makes things easier. Think about how your visitors will navigate your site. Good page names and menus will make navigation much better for your visitor.

3) Be pleasing on the eye. There may be designs and colours that you prefer that may not be pleasing to others. Bright colours or clashing text can put off your visitors and impact the quality of your web site design.

4) Optimise images. Although most people have a fast broadband connection, you should always optimise your images for fast loading. This means your site will be accessible on more connections including PDA's and mobile phones.

5) Use headline and sub headlines. Headlines and sub headlines break up the pages and allow you to give the reader an overview of what they are about to read. You should try and be descriptive to make the text more powerful.

6) Include a comprehensive footer on every page in your website design. The footer is a key part of the page. It should contain your business name, your address, your contact numbers and a copyright statement.

7) Be weary of being too clever. It is gratifying to create complex graphics, flash animations, embedded video and audio or rollover menus in your web site design, but think about the visitor. Will they get value out of what you've done or will it annoy them?

Pershore is an unspoiled, picturesque Market Town. Located just 7 miles East of Junction 7 on the M5 and situated on the River Avon.

The impressive, medieval Pershore Abbey was founded in 689AD by King Oswald.

Pershore is renowned for its outstanding Georgian façade and many of the buildings are listed.

Just outside of Pershore is Tyddesley Wood - 185 acres of ancient woodland and home to herb Paris, small leaved lime and the wild service tree. This woodland dates back to the Ice Age and was mentioned in the Doomsday Book.

A short distance away from the town centre stands Pershore Bridge, scene of Civil War skirmishes.
